PRACTICE

QUALIFYING

RACE

FIRESTONE FIREHAWK 600 OF TEXAS

28.APR
Report from the Texas Qualifying Session

Throughout practice the focus of the team was not on trying to produce the fastest car but on producing a car that handled well for the rookie driver from Brazil.

The team focused on having a good handling car for qualifying and succeeded.

Check out the weekend's Slide Show

They were successful in that endeavor, but in this series that focus means qualifying speeds will be down. Such was the case this weekend.

Adding to the demands that the speeds will put on the car/driver combination is the fact that the track is quite bumpy. This will place a premium on being prepared.

The race is scheduled to be 250 laps, or 375 miles.
