Brazilian Max Wilson, who debuted in the FedEx Championship
Series this weekend with his team Arciero-Blair Racing, retired
early in the Monterrey Grand Prix after he made contact with the
outside wall, on the last turn of the 2.104-mile circuit of
Fundidora Park, in Monterrey, Mexico.
"I lost it (the car) in the last turn, when I was following
Nicolas Minassian. I was trying to overtake him because I was much
quicker than him, but I thought: 'on the last turn I will be
quicker' and I was caught on the dirt part of the track. I just lost
it. That was it," said Max Wilson.
Max was 8th in the warm-up session with a lap of 1'17.457 at
97.788 Mph.
