Max Wilson Runs for the First Time in Long Beach

Brazilian driver Max Wilson drove for the first time on the 1.968-mile circuit of Long Beach. He gave a good performance during the first morning session, being eighth fastest. In the afternoon, when he was trying harder and was in 15th position, he had an incident that sidelined him for the last minutes of the session, dropping to the 17th spot with a best lap of 1'08.982 at 102.705 Mph.

"The morning session was good. The situation was different than Mexico. We started with a much better car and we were able to do some good lap times. During the last practice we changed some things on the car. We made some improvements. The car was good, but we still have room for further improvements for tomorrow (Saturday). We will work on the car to make it better and we'll see if we can do a good qualifying (performance)," Max Wilson said.

Regarding his incident in the afternoon, he added: "I was just trying to push harder, but in turn 5 I lost the car."
