Wilson Takes 21st Spot in Long Beach
Arciero-Blair Racing driver Max
Wilson appeared on the 21st spot in the final results of the Toyota
Grand Prix of Long Beach, after his first participation in this
race. Wilson had a couple of incidents that prevented him to achieve
a better result, despite having a good performance.
"At the beginning of the
race the car was good, but later I was struggling a little bit with
down shifting of gears and when I tried to go from third to second,
I did from third to first. That's why I went wide on Turn 9 and I
hit the tire barrier on lap 19," Max Wilson said.
"I was able to pit and my
Arciero-Blair Racing crew did a superb job replacing the rear wing.
We were doing well, trying to regain positions.
Later, with one lap to go, one
of my shoe laces was stuck in the pedals and I slid into the run off
on turn 8," he added.
