racing on an oval:
Since this is my first time on
an oval, I spent today gaining experience and learning how to draft.
Aside from Kenny Brack, none of the other drivers have had
experience here at the Texas Motor Speedway, so we're all learning
together.
The Arciero-Blair crew is
making constant improvements with the car, but we've still got more
work ahead of us. I'm becoming more comfortable with the car, and I
think that I can improve on my times tomorrow morning.
The next CART practice session
is Saturday morning at 9:30 am CDT with qualifying for the Firestone
Firehawk 600 starting at 1:30 pm CDT. The race will be Sunday at
2:00 pm CDT / 3:00 pm EDT and will be broadcast live on ESPN (check
your local listings).
