Lite 225 Race Notes
WEST Allis, Wis. (June 3, 2001) -- The FedEx Championship Series continued
today in round six at Americas legendary oval, The Milwaukee Mile.
Arciero-Blair Racing driver Max Wilson did not finish in the Miller Lite 225
due to a mechanical problem with the throttle cable.
Wilson, driving the Ford powered number 25 WinnerB2B Lola, started 24th for
the 225 lap race on the one-mile oval. Qualifying was rained out and the
26-car field started by driver point standings.
This is the first year of Championship Auto Racing Teams (CART) competition
as well as racing on ovals for the 28-year old Brazilian who was a former
Formula One test driver and Formula 3000 driver.
Next up for Arciero-Blair Racing will be the Tenneco Automotive Detroit Grand
Prix, June 17, 2001. The temporary track located near downtown Detroit has
14 turns and is 2.346-miles long. This seventh race in the CART series will
air live on ABC at CBS, 2:00 p.m. Eastern.
