PRESS RELEASE

10.AUG.01
Arciero-Blair Racing will Return to Competition at the Miller Lite 200.

Arciero-Blair Racing and its driver Max Wilson will return to competition in the Championship Auto Racing Teams (CART) race at the Miller Lite 200 this Sunday. The FedEx Championship Series will continue in round 13 of 21 events at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

Wilson and the Arciero-Blair Racing team did not compete at the Michigan 500 or the recent Target Grand Prix at Chicago Motor Speedway. On track incidents damaged three of the teams’ entries and they withdrew their entries while the cars were under repair. In Toronto - coming off two impressive runs in Portland, Ore., and Cleveland - Shinji Nakano heavily damaged Wilson’s primary in qualifying. Tora Takagi forced Wilson and his backup car out of the race and into the wall. Things continued on the downside and at Michigan, Wilson hit the wall in Saturday practice damaging the tub. After his accident in Michigan Wilson was X-rayed for possible fractures, but all he incurred was bruising.
