Racing Helps CART Sponsor Another Successful Charity Event
CARA one of CARTS long standing charities whose goal is "To
serve the auto racing community through charitable work and to
promote the friendship of all those involved in the motorsports
family" held yet another successful event this last weekend at
Mid-Ohio. Since its inception in 1981, children's health and safety
issues have been CARA Charities focus. Over $3 million dollars has
been raised. CARA also has many other charity efforts, Buckle Up
Baby (Infant seat program), The CARA Benevolent Fund (To help
members in all types of racing), The CARA Shirley Bettenhausen
Children's Fund at Methodist Hospital and the James P. Chapman

 CARA's Fifth Annual "Taste Of CART" Sponsored by Tones
Spices is one of the highlights of the summer racing season for fans
and participants is CARA Charities. The "Taste of CART"
progressive dinner at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio
was held on Friday, August 10th at 6:00pm in the paddock area of the
racetrack. The team chef's prepare appetizers, soups, salads, main
courses and desserts. Guests strolled among the motor coaches,
sampling each team's specialties. All diets were suspended for the
night! Over 400 guests came to this favorite charity event. Tickets
were $50.00
The Arciero-Blair Racing hospitality staff had rave reviews over
their Survivor theme decorations, great service and the incredible
food and beverages that was served. The Arciero-Blair hospitality
staff of Kim, Leah, Shane and Ken also conducted a give away to the
fans that came and enjoyed the Arciero-Blair Racing hospitality and
contributed to the CARA charity.
 The "Win Our Wilson" volleyball, an autographed
volleyball with the handprint of Max Wilson "a Max Wilson
original" was won by Leslie Piergallini of Steubenville Ohio.
