After a
Strong Start, Max out Early With Mechanical Problem
VANCOUVER,
British Columbia, Canada (September 2, 2001) -- Arciero-Blair Racing
with driver Max Wilson competed in round 15 of 21 events in the
Championship Auto Racing Teams (CART) race today in the Pacific
Northwest. The FedEx Championship Series driver finished 25th.
The race looked promising for the team after running third in the
race warm-up session. Wilson, driving the Ford-powered Lola, started
25th for the race that ran for 100 laps. Racing on the tight
temporary street course he moved up to eighth place by lap 26. On
lap 35 the Arciero-Blair Racing Driving 101 entry, lost power and
Wilson pulled off the track. He was unable to continue due to an
electrical problem with the ignition switch.
The FedEx Championship Series continues in two weeks on Saturday,
September 15 at its first ever CART race in Europe. The race will be
held at the newly built EuroSpeedway in Klettwitz, Germany. An
inaugural race, the German 500 will be on the two-mile oval and will
air on ESPN Television Network at 7:30 p.m. EST live. Arciero-Blair
Racing will also race on September 22 in Corby, England for the
Rockingham 500 at the Rockingham Motor Speedway, a 1.5-mile oval.
This event will also air on ESPN Television Network. Check local

Driving 101 is the first and only driving experience in the world
to offer a fleet of 20 full-sized Champ Cars. Clients range from
